January - and Australia day

We had a bit of fun with Nico and Ianne.  Ianne foolishly mentioned that hundreds of years ago she was descended from Dutch royalty.  Then even more foolishly they went back to Holland leaving the plotters to get to work - I think the photos say it all!

the boat name was very convenient to change (HKH is HRH in Dutch)

The port has always had flags at the end by the lock - they were just a mix of European countries . We mentioned this to Herve (the port captain), and lo and behold this year all the nations resident in the port appeared  - well done Herve!

Our next big event was Australia Day - and all the Aussie boats in the port dressed up for the occasion. This was followed up by a celebration on board Katinkas boat - with meat pies lamingtons, fantales, vegemite, Australian wine and of course an episode of Kath and Kim!
